Terms of use
These terms apply when you use the Linkup Play app and website and book games. Linkup Play is run by The Trustee for Clutch Rewards Investment Unit Trust trading as Linkup Play (ABN 68 671 954 784), "we" in these terms. By creating an account or booking a game, you agree to them.
Your account
- You need an account to book. Give us accurate details, including a mobile number we can verify, and keep your sign-in secure.
- You must be 18 or over, or have a parent or guardian's permission to use Linkup Play and play.
- One account per person. You're responsible for bookings made in your account, including spots you book for guests.
Booking and paying
- A booking is for one or more spots in a game. Prices are shown in Australian dollars. At checkout you see the game price, a platform fee per spot, and GST, before you pay.
- When you start checkout we hold your spots for 10 minutes. The booking is confirmed once payment goes through.
- Credit in your account is used first, then your card. Payments are processed by Stripe.
- If you join a waitlist and a spot opens, you agree that we can book you in and charge your saved card (after any credit) without asking again. We'll tell you straight away. You can leave the waitlist at any time before then.
Cancelling
- Each game shows a free-cancellation cut-off, for example "Free cancellation until 5:30 pm tomorrow". It's fixed when you book.
- Cancel before the cut-off and you get everything you paid for those spots back as Linkup Play credit.
- Cancel after the cut-off and there's no refund, but if someone else takes your spot, you get the credit back.
Games that don't go ahead
- Each game needs a minimum number of players by its lock-in time. If it doesn't have enough, or we have to call it off for another reason, everyone gets what they paid back as credit straight away.
- For a called-off game, you can choose a refund to your card instead, within 14 days, for the part you paid by card. Card refunds usually take 3 to 5 business days.
- If a game's time, venue or court changes, we'll tell you by push notification and SMS.
Credit
Credit doesn't expire. It can be used on any game but can't be exchanged for cash, except a card refund for a called-off game as above. Credit is lost if you delete your account.
Playing
- Turn up on time and check in at the venue. Follow the venue's rules and the game's rules.
- Play fairly and respectfully. We may cancel bookings or close accounts for abusive, unsafe or dishonest behaviour, or misuse of Linkup Play.
- Football is a physical sport and carries a risk of injury. Play within your ability and fitness.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. Subject to them, we're not responsible for loss that isn't caused by us, and where the law allows us to limit our liability, it's limited to supplying the service again or refunding what you paid for the booking concerned.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it applies; bookings you've already made keep the terms they were made under. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales.
